Our Story
Our lemonade story in The County started when the family stand first appeared way back in 2011 at Vicki’s Veggie’s Annual Tomato Tasting Event. We’ve been there every year since!
First, let's highlight that Lemonade Dave is a real person! As a young dude growing up in Oshawa, he ran drink stands all summer long at the end of his street. He was always way into fresh lemonade, and way into selling it on a hot summer day!
Dave grew up, went to university in Kingston, started a Juno-nominated band, got married, had kids, worked a 9-5 for many years, operates his own online music store and a vintage pillow business with his wife, runs a few local music festivals, and now he's back to lemonade!
The current version of the lemonade stand started almost 10 years ago as a way to raise funds at his kids’ school, but it grew to something that you can find at small events and festivals in PEC, including Dave’s ‘spiritual lemonade home’ at the Wellington Community Market!
The spring of 2020 brought a pandemic, and inspired a pivot to create a new bottled lemonade! Dave started making it by hand using the County Bounty bottling facility in Napanee, and he now has his own small scale bottling facility in Milford. Always made by hand, and always one at a time. The story just keeps going thanks to your continued support!
